First, let me apologize for being silent with my Blog the last few months. We have been extremely busy with some additional growth projects. We recently added Oregon Community Credit Union to the list of CU affiliations to better serve the Salem and Eugene area. Also, we have been working hard to give our website a facelift. Check out our new “Cars for Sale” area which we believe to be much more user friendly and far more robust with useful information. In addition to this change, we have added a number of new information pieces on our homepage that I think you will find interesting. Next, we have added my latest interview with Entercom Community Affairs Director, Ted Douglass, where we have a very robust conversation about the state of financial literacy today. There are some great references to organizations that can help you out, so I would encourage you to take some time to listen to this piece. However, my favorite change is the addition of 4 new video testimonials of “REAL” SA customers. As I listen to these valued customers, I know that we are on the right track. If you agree, please help us in continuing to spread the word to friends, business acquaintances, and family. We’d love to help them regain their financial footing. Thanks for giving us the chance to serve you.

I recently returned from Dave Ramsey’s Financial Counselor’s Course in Nashville. We have added this dimension along with having a trained & certified FPU coach on board at Smartway Advisors. Also, we recently purchased a new product from Suze Orman through a PBS fundraiser which is a kit very similar to the Ramsey FPU approach. This product is available through her website, and we are pleased to add this new piece to the current Smartway offering of her audio book “The 9 Steps to Financial Freedom.”
Next, I encourage you to check out your Local Credit Union Partner's page for many of the new & exciting offers that are available for free. Then, check out my interview on our website with Entercom Public Affairs Director, Ted Douglass. Finally, we continue to be very bullish on a new local & independent website called Consumer Care (consumer-care.com). There are some fantastic educational & informational pieces for free on this site. We continue to seek out ideas and offerings for you to build or rebuild your financial lives.
You are our #1 priority! Please help us spread the word!
